Medical inspection to our batteries
En los grupos Power y Control hemos decidido mandar a nuestros packs de baterías a una revisión para asegurarnos que siguen tan efectivas como el primer día. Estas baterías, en conjunto, forman el Accumulator, y son el corazón de nuestro monoplaza, por ello, es vital que se encuentren en buen estado.
La revisión a la que son sometidas consiste básicamente en realizar ciclos, los cuales se componen de una carga y una descarga cada uno. Durante tanto las cargas como las descargas, monitorizamos la tensión de cada batería y la intensidad que se obtiene de ellas, guardando todos los datos obtenidos.
Estudiando estos datos, seremos capaces de conocer mejor las baterías y exprimir al máximo el poder de nuestro Accumulator.
Por ahora, hemos realizado tres ciclos a cada pack, es decir, 18 ciclos. Los cuales han tenido resultados muy satisfactorios. A continuación procederemos a analizar los datos obtenidos de forma detallada para proponer nuevas pruebas. Siempre con el objetivo de aprender, mejorar y hacer que el FSB2017 haga historia.
In the Power and Control groups we have decided to take our batteries to an inspection to ensure that they stay as effective as the first day. Those batteries, on the whole, became the Accumulator container, and they are the heart of our veichle.
The inspection we are talking about constist of making cycles which means charging and discharging the packs. During the charges and discharges we are able to monitor the voltage and the current of each cell, saving the results.
Analyzing this data, we could be able of having a better knowledge about the batteries and we could make the most of our Accumulator.
By now, we have make three cycles to each pack, which means 18 cycles. And they have had satisfactory results. Following this, we will analyze the obtained data in order to come up with new test. Always with the same objective: learning, improving and make the FSB2017 be in the hall of fame.
